Introduction

  CFor the word “I or  I’m” , If you are a man, then say ‘Pŏm’, if you are a woman, then say ‘Chăn’

CThe polite ending word for a man is ‘Kráb’ and for a woman is ‘Kà’ or ‘ká’, we use ‘ká’ when we make a question.  We should say this word at the end of every sentence.

  Hello                   Sà-wàd-di:                   ส-วัส-ดี

What is your name?           Kun chêu: à-rai                   คุณ ชื่อ อะ-ไร

My name is Ben.                Chăn chêu: Ben                   ฉัน ชื่อ เบน

How are you?                      Sà -ba:y di: mái                   ส-บาย ดี ไหม

I’m fine, thank you.           Sà -ba:y di:, Kàwb-kun       ส-บาย ดี  ขอบ-คุณ

What do you do?               Kun tam-ŋa:n à-rai               คุณ ทำ-งาน อะ-ไร

I’m a student.                    Chăn bpen nág-ri:an             ฉัน เป็น นัก-เรียน

Where do you work?         Kun tam-ŋa:n tî: năi              คุณ ทำ-งาน ที่ ไหน

At a restaurant.                  Tî: rá:n-a:-hă:n                        ที่ ร้าน อา-หาร

Where are you from?         Kun ma: jà:g năi                     คุณ มา จาก ไหน

I’m from Phuket.               Chăn ma: jà:g Phuket            ฉัน มา จาก ภู-เก็ต

Where do you live?            Kun yù: tî: năi                        คุณ อยู่ ที่ ไหน

I live in a condo.                Chan yù: tî: condo.                ฉัน อยู่ ที่ คอน-โด

Who are you with?             Kun yù: gàb krai                   คุณ อยู่ กับ ใคร

I’m alone.                            Chăn yù: kon di:aw            ฉัน อยู่ คน เดียว

Do you have any children?          Kun mi: lû:g mái       คุณ มี ลูก ไหม

Yes.  I have one daughter.           Mi: lû:g să:w kon nèuŋ        มี ลูก-สาว คน นึง

What’s your phone number? Ber to: kun ber a-rai    เบอร์ โทร คุณ เบอร์ อะ-ไร

See you again.               Pôb gan mài ná                   พบ กัน ใหม่ นะ
